A representative of the people of Mahalat and Delijan in the Majlis said: "In Mahalat and Nimar, there are about three hundred stone-working factories that have created jobs for five thousand people. These factories are currently struggling to supply raw materials."

Salimi went on to say that there are many steps to be taken to pass a law and that many officials are working hard, but the law on supplying stone to factories around Mahallat city is not being followed by government officials.

He said government mines in many provinces that own the mine are required to supply the stone needed by factories around the area, which is implemented properly in those provinces, but this has yet to happen in Maharashtra and Nimur.
