Imidro began detailed explorations at the Albagh Esfarayen mine
Governor of Esfarayen: The Organization for Development and Renovation of Mines and Mining Industries of Iran (Imidro) on Wednesday began the detailed exploration study in the Alablagh mine of this city of North Khorasan in order to fulfill its step-by-step commitments.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mehdi Keramati stated: "Following up and holding meetings with Imidro managers this week, detailed studies and exploration in the Albagh lead and zinc mine to determine the amount of mineral reserves in this area by this executive organization."
He added: the mapping of the topography of the area to determine the amount of lead and zinc reserves in the area of Albalagh mine by drone and the action for access to Albalagh mine are among the measures of the detailed exploration phase in this area.
The governor of Esfarayen added: "According to Imidro, detailed exploration studies in the Albalagh mine area will be completed by July, and after determining the amount of mineral reserves in this area, it will enter the exploitation and extraction stage."
Albolagh Esfarayen lead and zinc mine is located in a mountainous and difficult-to-pass area of the same name in Esfarayen city of North Khorasan province. Intensified in this area.
The location of this mine in the protected area of Sarigol, caused the North Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization to fail to register it for a long time, but after following the media and city and provincial officials in October 1998, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade issued a study permit. And made initial discoveries on this mineral area for Imidro.
The occurrence of several accidents of debris and rock falling in this mine in the last 2 years has claimed the lives of seven illegal harvesters, some of whom had traveled to this region from other parts of the country.
After a long period of uncertainty, this mine was finally completely cleared of unauthorized extractors in early March of last year and was given to Imidro Protection Company to protect this area. And after taking and after approval, necessary measures should be taken for the extraction and operation of this mine.
The city of Esfarayen with a population of 120,000 is located 60 km southeast of Bojnourd.
