Head of Iran Mining House: Cooperation with the Chinese can be a great opportunity to develop the use of new technologies, increase the depth of mineral exploration and equip mines and units with the required machinery.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Reza Bahraman analyzed the 25-year agreement between Iran and China and added: "It seems that at the beginning, public awareness of such an agreement should be raised and informed people should analyze its various angles."
He said: "The signing of the mentioned agreement is the basis for the creation of various agreements between economic actors and the private sector of the two countries, and this is where we should think about bilateral win-win agreements."
Bahraman believes: "Since this agreement is seen in all aspects between Iran and China, if properly managed, it can be of good benefit to the country."
Referring to the oppressive sanctions in recent years, he said: "Sanctions have caused the country to not have good economic conditions, and we can not have large investments looking at other markets."
The head of Iran's Mining House also pointed to some pessimistic views in this regard, especially why the agreement is 25 years old by the society and said: "Part of this pessimism is due to the toxic atmosphere created by the dissident media and due to unfavorable economic conditions they want to Make people worried about such issues.
"In the world, planning is being done for at least the next three decades, and countries are defining their needs based on that timeframe," he said.
Bahraman continued: "Today in our country we need to know what position we will be in the various sectors of the mining industry in the next 30 years to invest and plan based on it."
"Naturally, our planning in the mining sector, especially in the exploration sector, needs to change due to the lack of use of new technologies, as well as staying at the level instead of going deeper, and since this has not been possible so far, we can The Chinese used it in this regard.
The head of Iran's Mining House believes that Iran has a great advantage over China in terms of oil and gas, and that China's billion-strong population means a very large consumer market.
He added: Based on this, China has a good capacity to use the products of our country's mining sector and mining industry.
Bahraman also pointed to our country's limited ability to supply the required mining equipment and said: "Considering the existence of large units such as HEPCO and Arak Machinery, we hope to find partners to build and supply the mining machinery we need in cooperation with the Chinese."
"Estimates suggest that at least $ 1.5 billion in investment in mining machinery is needed over a short period of five years, and the Chinese could easily meet that need," he said.
The head of Iran Mining House also stressed the need to use this capacity to complete the production chain of the mining sector and reminded: "Our efforts to complete the production chain in some sectors have not been successful and the rejection of some cases remains only in the study phase."
According to this report, the Iran-China Cooperation Document was signed on April 27 by our Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Wang Ei, a member of the State Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China in Tehran. This document is a strategy to use the capacities of the two countries with the aim of outlining the prospect of long-term mutual cooperation in various economic and cultural fields.
