Startup in Persian is translated as start-up business and is also referred to as knowledge-based businesses. Because many startups in recent years have been formed around being knowledge-based, the term sometimes refers to the fact that a startup must be active in the field of new technologies. According to experts and economic and industrial activists, the use of new technologies in the field of production and industry can lead to the development of the country in all sectors related to industry and economy.

In the mining and mining industries, in recent years, with the support of some government agencies that were responsible for mining research and development, a limited number of startups have started operating and are always working to grow the mining sector.

Ghobadian cited sanctions as one of the reasons mines use old technology and equipment, and stressed the need to change the practice of mining activities: "We must be able to increase the added value of mines with new measures."

He said that the promotion of added value of mining activities depends on various factors, including the presence of experts in this field, and said: the need to create appropriate added value in various economic enterprises, including mining, having capable human resources or so-called developed human resources.

He added: "Human resources are developers and by coming together, they create an issue called startups." With their new ideas, these people can shed new blood in the veins of economic enterprises and industries, including the mining sector of the country.

Iran, rich in young manpower

The Deputy Minister of Education, Research and Technology pointed out that Iran is rich in manpower and said: "Fortunately, Iran is in a good condition in terms of human capital and there are over 30 million young people in the country who should be among them." To be used in industries and economic enterprises, including mines. The right thing to do is to get most of these talented young people into start-ups and boost the country's startup sector.

He added: "Start-up jobs have recently been created and developed in our country, and our young people have moved to new technologies in the industry in the last decade." Unfortunately, there is no proper definition of startups and the benefits of their presence in industries and mines.

Ali Masoumi, President of the Iranian Association of Industries and Mines Research and Development, pointed out the benefits of the presence of start-ups in mining activities and said: "Mining start-ups consist of students, professionals and experts in the mining and mining industries, as well as economics and new technologies." If these knowledge-based companies enter the mining and mining industries, they will be able to help the development of these sectors by raising the level of mining activities. Startups can find the missing links in the mining value chain and increase the total added value of the mining sector. .

In order to increase the cooperation of mine owners and start-ups, it seems that the government should enter into the discussion and, by creating appropriate structures, encourage the miners and tie mining activities to the start-ups.

He added: "If mining projects cooperate with startups, facilities can be considered for them and both sectors can be encouraged to cooperate and economic and industrial development of the country." In our country, the presence of knowledge-based businesses in the industry is a new issue and there is still no proper trust in this sector. The move of enterprises and industries towards cooperation with knowledge-based businesses requires a catalyst, which the government must play.

 Requiring government support

The head of the Iranian Industries and Mines Research and Development Association described the level of knowledge and technology of the country's university sector as favorable and said: "It cannot be said that the knowledge and technology of the university community and our specialists are low or lack the necessary ability to design and promote knowledge-based projects." They should not be trusted; For example, the students of the Faculty of Mining, University of Tehran, have designed and are implementing several suitable projects in the field of mining and mineral industries; Therefore, we do not have the problem of project and technical knowledge to start the cooperation of start-ups with mining activists, and the university community of the country is at an acceptable level of knowledge. To enter, these knowledge-based companies only need government support to interact with the country's mining and mineral industries.
