Deputy Minister of Industries and Mines of North Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: Marble extraction from Garmeh mine was postponed due to the corona pandemic to the return of the Chinese.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Ali Asghar Rezazadeh stated: The Chinese investor who had signed a contract with the owner of Garmeh mine to extract marble returned to his country at Christmas, but due to the corona pandemic and the creation of global restrictions, he left China and entry into the country remained open.
He added: "The Chinese investor will come to Iran and North Khorasan if the corona situation normalizes, but in his absence, the contract will expire and the owner of the mine will start exploring the mine."
Rezazadeh continued: The mine exploration license will be issued in the will stage of the discovery certificate from and in three months. After that, the owner of the mine has one year to apply for an exploitation license.
He said: "The product of this mine is cream colored marble, which is in great demand in the market and has a suitable capacity for investors."
The Deputy Minister of Industries and Mines of the North Khorasan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization also said: "There are 253 mines in North Khorasan, 20 of which are marble mines."
