48% growth of government revenue from mines in Semnan province
The Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of Semnan Province announced a 48% increase in the collection of government salaries for the province's mines in the past year.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Forouhar stated in a meeting to review the problems of the province's mines, which was held at the meeting hall of the organization: Last year, about 208 billion rials of government salaries were collected from the province's mines, which is compared to Similarly, in 1998, it increased by 48%.
He added: "In March of last year, an amount of about 28 billion rials was received from the province's mines, government salaries, which shows a 34% growth compared to March of the previous year."
Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of Semnan Province, referring to the activity of about 630 mining units in the province, noted: This number of mines with an annual extraction capacity of more than 21 million tons of minerals operate in the province.
Referring to the high capacity and multiplicity of minerals in this province, he specified: the definite reserves of mines in Semnan province reach about 607 million tons.
Referring to the investment made in these mines, Forouhar noted: The mines of the province operate with an investment of 10 thousand billion Rials and employment of more than 5000 people in the province.
He reminded: There are 42 types of minerals, including minerals such as: gypsum, celestine, limestone, copper, iron and manganese in Semnan province, which are exploited.
