Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of Khorasan Razavi Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: Lack of strong exploration companies, weakness of underground exploration and the existence of worn and worn-out machinery are the main obstacles in developing mining activities and increasing their wealth creation.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Tavakoli said that one of the main needs of Khorasan Razavi mines is subsurface exploration and added: "Most exploration companies are in the government that have not done much work in the field of mineral exploration in the province, but if this If companies are private, the speed and accuracy of their work will increase because they do not have bureaucracy and they can do better exploration work and achieve more accurate results in this field by having good and advanced equipment or by interacting with foreign companies.

He continued: "Last year, the study of eight mineral zones in the province in the field of iron ore, gold, copper and chromite was assigned to exploration companies, in which 6 assignment zones and 74 promising mining areas were identified. If exploration work is completed, half of these areas will be completed." A great deal has been done in this area.

The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Khorasan Razavi said: "Since the underground exploration in the field of mines of Khorasan Razavi has not been completed yet and mineral exploration is accompanied by progress every day, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade has applied for a permit to transfer studies of new mineral areas The province has been turned over to private sector companies such as Khatam al-Anbia (PBUH) headquarters, Imam's command headquarters and Gol Gohar company.

He added: "National Iranian Copper Company, as a global brand and a private sector company, has taken very effective measures in the study of new mineral zones in the Jaghtai and Sabzevar regions."

Tavakoli mentioned the existence of worn-out machines as another major obstacle in the field of mines and continued: "One of our requests is the import of second-hand foreign machines without customs tariffs to help improve the quality of machines in the mining sector."

He said: "Depreciation of machinery in the field of mines and increasing costs has increased the risk of investing in the field of mining."

The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Khorasan Razavi added: "If a license is issued to import second-hand foreign machinery to the country without customs tariffs, access to cheap machinery will be easier and the added value of mining activity will increase."

He continued: "Last year, with the governor's plan and the signing of an agreement with the General Department of Natural Resources, the auction was closed for 400 mines in the province and the ground for the presence of these mines in the auction was provided."

Tavakoli said: "The volume of mines that had conflicts in the field of natural resources was very large, so their review by the General Directorate of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Khorasan Razavi and answering inquiries in this field took so long that with the agreement and cooperation of the General Directorate, 90% The problems of the province's mining sectors in the field of natural resources were solved.

He added: "Currently, 932 mines with an annual extraction rate of 39 million tons and reserves of 2.8 billion tons and an investment of 15,870 billion rials with employment for 11,297 people have valid exploitation licenses in the province, half of which they are active.

The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Khorasan Razavi continued: The other half of the mines, which are mostly sand mines, have become semi-active due to sanctions and the reduction of the country's development budget.
