Deputy of Economic Affairs Coordination of Khorasan Razavi Governorate said: 1,200% increase in nominal production capacity of iron concentrate, 100% increase in nominal production capacity of iron pellets, 50% increase in nominal production capacity of sponge iron and growth of 39 and 49% nominal production capacity of building stones, respectively And cement since 1392 has been another part of the province's economic achievements in the field of mining industry over the past seven years.
Ashrafi added: Khorasan Razavi, with 932 mines with valid exploitation licenses with a reserve of 2.8 billion tons and an annual extraction of 39 million tons, has attracted 15,870 billion rials of investment and has created 11,297 jobs.
He added: In total, more than five thousand and 300 industrial units with an investment of 290 thousand and 981 billion rials and job creation for more than 195 thousand people are active in this province.
The Deputy Governor of Khorasan Razavi for Economic Affairs Coordination said: Khorasan Razavi's share of the number of industrial units in the whole country is seven percent, the amount of industrial investment is 6 percent and the amount of employment is eight percent.
Ashrafi added: "More than 90% of investment in the field of industry and mining industries of Khorasan Razavi is related to the private sector, which has taken the largest measures for employment and added value in the province."
He added: This province ranks third in terms of number of production units with exploitation licenses after Tehran and Isfahan provinces, third in terms of industrial employment after Tehran and Isfahan provinces and in terms of investment after Arvand Free Zone and Tehran and Isfahan provinces. It is ranked fourth.
The Deputy Governor of Khorasan Razavi said: Khaf with 44%, Mashhad with 25% and Neishabour with 7% have the highest share in the number of units with industrial exploitation licenses in Khorasan Razavi.
Ashrafi added: 55% increase in production and investment capacity of steel projects, 38% growth of industrial projects, gaining the first rank of employment and fifth rank of investment in industrial projects, 20% growth of value added of industrial activities of provincial workshops, 30% growth of industrial workshops, growth 25 times investment in exploitation licenses issued by the industrial sector and 45% development of the infrastructure of industrial estates has been part of the economic achievements of Khorasan Razavi industry in the past seven years.
