Consultation to increase trade and economic relations between Iran and Japan

He said that Oman, India and Pakistan have invested in Chabahar and are interested in developing investments. "Japanese companies can also be present and invest in this region along with other foreign investors," he said.
Zadboom, referring to the holding of more than 80 specialized exhibitions at the Tehran International Exhibition Center, invited Japanese companies to participate in these exhibitions.
The new Japanese Ambassador to Tehran, Ikawa Kazutoshi, noted that the economy and trade play a key role in relations between the two countries, and assessed the role of the Japan Trade Development Organization and Jetro as a Japanese counterpart in strengthening and developing economic and trade relations.
Describing the interest of Japanese companies in working with Iranian companies, he added: "New areas of work, such as e-commerce, are a very good ground for bilateral trade interaction between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Japan."
Referring to the progress made in e-commerce and e-banking in Iran in the past decade and despite the sanctions, Kazutoshi said: "The existence of free zones, especially Chabahar, as centers for facilitating trade and investment is considered by Japanese companies and the Japanese are interested in operating in Chabahar." are.
During the meeting, which was accompanied by the head of the Jetro (Japan Trade Development Agency) office in Tehran, the two sides stressed the good history of Iran-Japan relations and the need for cooperation in increasing trade and economic relations between the two countries.
Notes the active presence of Iran in Japan exhibitions, especially the Osaka 2025 Expo, the cooperation of the Trade Development Organization of Iran with Japan Jetro to establish links between Iranian and Japanese companies, facilitate the export of pistachios and other agricultural products to Japan and help solve the problems of Japanese companies in Japan. Tehran was another issue that was discussed in this meeting.
It is worth mentioning that the prevalence of coronation and sanctions have reduced trade between the two countries, and during the meeting between the Director General of the Trade Development Organization of Iran and the Ambassador of Japan, both sides stressed their interest in working together to improve the performance of exchanges.
