According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Seyed Hamid Hosseini, Secretary General of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce, announced the release of Iranian blocked funds in Iraq.
"Reliable sources in Iraq have reported that the United States has agreed to release Iranian resources at the Commercial Bank of Iraq, and that several transactions have taken place," he said.
