Head of Khoy Industry, Mining and Trade Department: 187 production and industrial units are active in this city and 46,861 people are employed in them.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Amir Jafari added: 6 thousand and 322 billion rials have been invested by the private sector to activate these units.
He continued: In Khoy mines, 63 mines are active in the field of decorative stones, salt stones, gypsum, silica and chromite, for the exploitation of which more than 187 billion rials have been invested and employment has been provided for 656 people. .
The head of Khoy Industry, Mining and Trade Department, noting that the measures taken to prevent the sale of raw materials and create added value for minerals extracted from Khoy mines and return value added to the city, said: 72 mineral processing units with an investment volume of one 1,983 billion rials have been created in this region and employment has been created for 1,567 people in this field.
Jafari added: In Khoy city and its affiliated cities, 11 thousand and 95 service, production and distribution trade unions have been active, in which 34 thousand and 853 people are working.
He added: "There are eight trade union complexes in this city that more than five thousand billion rials have been invested in the operation of these complexes and 2,850 people are employed in these complexes."
He continued: In this city, 1,500 people have cocoon cards.
According to this report, Khoy is one of the northern cities of West Azerbaijan and the second most populous city in the province.
