Issuance of mining licenses increased by 5.3%
Data and statistics from the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade show the growth of the collective category of mining licenses, including the number of exploration licenses, exploration certificates and exploitation licenses.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, 784 mineral exploration licenses were issued in the first 10 months of this year, which, considering the issuance of 770 licenses in the same period last year, has increased by 1.8% in this area.
Mining discovery certificates also increased by one percent. Accordingly, 425 items of discovery certificates were issued in the first 10 months of this year, which was 421 items in the first 10 months of last year.
Also, in the first 10 months of this year, 512 mining licenses were issued, which, considering the export of 486 items in the same period last year, we saw a 5.3% increase in this area.
The employment of mining licenses in the first 10 months of this year was 4,160 people and in the first 10 months of last year was 3,935 people, which in this sector also had a growth of 5.7 percent.
The cost of exploration operations has also increased by 10 percent. Accordingly, the cost of exploration operations in the first 10 months of this year was 1,019 billion rials and in the first 10 months of last year was 927 billion rials.
