Head of North Khorasan Mining Engineering Organization: The province has 253 mining units, of which more than half are now inactive.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mehdi Sajjadi stated: The high fluctuation of prices and the increase in the cost price of activities have caused the deactivation of more than 140 mines in the province.

The head of the North Khorasan Mining Engineering Organization added: "With the increase in the price of currency, the price of machinery has also increased and miners have faced difficulties in preparing it."

He pointed out: "Another reason for the inactivity of mines in the province is that in the past, exploration activities were not carried out in a timely and accurate manner."

Sajjadi said: "Activities in some mines are also facing the problem of opposition, which sometimes causes the closure of mines."

The head of the North Khorasan Mining Engineering Organization pointed out: The activities of three or four carcasses have been faced due to social problems and popular opposition.
