The first phase of Madkoush pelletizing complex in Bandar Abbas (Persian Gulf Special Zone) was inaugurated with a private sector investment of more than 2320 billion Tomans. With the launch of this project, which has the capacity to produce 2.5 million tons of iron ore pellets per year, 360 jobs were created. This project has the ability to upgrade production with its existing line to 3.4 million tons per year.
The inauguration of pelletizing unit No. 1 of Goharzamin Company in Sirjan, Kerman province, which has the capacity to produce five million tons of iron pellets per year, has been one of the other exploitation programs today. To launch this project, more than 3830 billion Tomans have been invested by Goharzamin Company and it has provided employment for 500 people.
14% increase in pelletizing capacity
The opening of two pelletizing projects of Madkoosh and Goharzamin iron ore companies with a total annual capacity of 7.5 million tons will increase the capacity in the industry by about 14% and complete the value chain of the steel industry, supply raw materials needed by downstream industries (sponge iron production). And will also create jobs in the region.
Also today, Pier No. 5 of the Special Energy Industries Port of South Parsian in Hormozgan Province (Parsian Port) was inaugurated with an investment of 59 million Euros (for the construction of Pier 5, breakwater and dredging) and employment of 200 people. The employers of this project are Iran Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro) and Parsian Energy Industries Development Company.
This wharf is designed to facilitate the import and export of goods and products in the Parsian port area with a final loading and unloading capacity of 40.8 million tons per year. The first phase of this port with a loading and unloading capacity of 11.6 million tons per year will be put into operation. will receive. The tonnage of mooring ships at this wharf is 30,000 tons and 70,000 tons, and currently ships up to 30,000 tons are allowed to moor there.
It is worth mentioning that the localization rate of the equipment of this wharf is 100%, and next to this port, the silos of the Southern Aluminum Company have also been built.
Opening of agricultural export export terminal in Joibar
The opening of the export terminal of Romak Gostarpars agricultural products with the investment of the private sector in the stream of Mazandaran has been another exploitation program today. This project has been launched in line with the packaging and export of agricultural products with a packaging and export capacity of 364,000 tons per year and has provided employment for 300 people. More than 7200 billion rials have been spent by the private sector to launch this project.
Commencement of two GTX petrochemical projects
Today, the implementation of two petrochemical projects in the field of GTX methanol production and downstream polyalfin chain in Parsian Special Economic Zone began. These two projects will be launched and inaugurated with the participation of the private sector by 1403 by 1403. The direct employment of these two projects will be a total of 624 people and their indirect employment will be a total of up to 3,000 people.
According to the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, according to Saeed Zarandi, Deputy Minister of Planning and Programs, the opening of this number of projects will create a total of 160 jobs for the country. A total of 250 billion tomans of investment (currency and rials) has been made to launch these projects. With the opening of these four projects, in addition to industrial development, sustainable employment will be created in these areas.
