Increase of mining licenses in 10 months of this year
The review of mining licenses issued by the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade in the 10-month period of this year in the field of exploration, discovery certificate, issuance of exploitation licenses and the cost of exploration operations will increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, this year in the 10-month period, the number of exploration licenses issued reached 784, which is a 1.8% increase compared to 770 issued in the same period last year.
Also in the period of this report, 425 items of discovery certificates were issued, which shows an increase of one percent compared to 421 items of certificates issued in the first 10 months of last year.
In addition, the exploitation license issued in the first 10 months of this year reached 512, which is a 5.3% increase compared to 486 in the same period last year.
The cost of exploration operations in the first 10 months of this year compared to the same period last year recorded a 10 percent increase, which indicates a greater desire to invest in this sector.
According to the surveyed statistics, the cost of exploration operations in the period under review reached 1019 billion rials, which has increased by 927 billion rials compared to the first 10 months of last year.
According to the report, a review of statistics for the first nine months of this year shows that 701 mining exploration licenses were issued, which increased by 4.8% compared to the same period last year, when it was 669.
Also, in the first nine months of this year, 367 items of discovery certificates were issued, an increase of 1.4 percent compared to the first nine months of last year, which was 362 items.
The number of mining licenses in the first nine months of this year reached 462, which shows an increase of 3.8% compared to 445 in the same period last year.
Iran ranks 15th in the world in terms of exploration reserves, with about 60 billion tons of mineral reserves identified, of which about 40 billion tons are definite and the rest are probable.
