West Azerbaijan exports reached $ 2.9 billion
Governor of West Azerbaijan: Since the beginning of this year, the province's exports have reached 2 billion and 900 million dollars, which is a significant increase compared to last year.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Mehdi Shahriari, in a meeting with the economic activists of the province in the presence of the Deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Chairman of the Industries and Mines Commission and representatives of the people of Urmia in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, added: 1 million 27 thousand tons of goods this year Exported from West Azerbaijan, valued at $ 2.9 billion.
He added: "Exports of other provinces from the borders of West Azerbaijan as one of the provinces active in international trade during this year was significant and reached $ 9 billion, which will increase greatly by the end of the year."
Shahriari said: "Since the end of October this year, two border crossings were set up for special exchanges of border residents in West Azerbaijan, whose exports in the first quarter of the activity alone were about 4 million and 200 thousand dollars."
West Azerbaijan has 9 customs and 6 border markets, which are scattered in the area of 967 km of the border of this province and most of the export items including polyethylene, fruit, stone, all kinds of metals that have been exported to neighboring countries.
