The mining law needs to be amended
Deputy Secretary General of the Iranian Chamber of Industry, Mines and Commerce: Many mining industry activists these days are calling for the amendment of the mining law.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Arman Khaleghi, Deputy Secretary General of the Iranian Chamber of Industry, Mines and Commerce, said about the amendment of the Mining Law: "Currently, there are problems in issuing exploitation licenses and revoking mines." On the other hand, the licenses of people who have made heavy investments to improve the operation are being revoked. We are witnessing the revocation of licenses that do not interfere with their type of activity, but do not have a market for selling the product or have not been able to export due to the reduction of civil and industrial activities.
He said: "With this action, many investors in the field of mining will face losses, on the other hand, these mines will be given back to people who may not have the necessary expertise to operate in this field." Many attribute this problem to the current mining law.
Khaleghi said: "Unfortunately, some mineral zones are in the hands of people who do not have the ability and ability to perform activities." We must distinguish between an able person who has stopped mining under economic pressure. Also, a center should be established to review expertise and distinguish right and wrong in these issues and revoke exploitation licenses.
