Italy and Spain welcome the stone productions of Iranian artists
Chairman of the Policy Council of the First National Iranian Stone Design Festival: The Italian and Spanish embassies in Tehran expressed their readiness as spiritual sponsors of the first "Small Scale Stone Compositions" festival, a step to restore the country's capabilities in the stone sector by combining art and architecture.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, "Farhad Azrami" explained to reporters in a press conference related to this festival on Sunday: "The establishment of this festival is an opportunity to look at stone beyond building materials, and in fact a different attitude towards sustainability and Stability is a fusion of architecture and art.
He added: "The spiritual support of the mentioned countries for the establishment of this festival as countries that have presented their capabilities in the international arena, is an opportunity for Iranian artists to introduce themselves in the international arena."
Iranian natural stones are unique in terms of material and color
According to this report, "Mahdi Fallah", the secretary of the festival, also said: "The geological feature of our country has led to the formation of rare natural stones in terms of material and color, which is unique in the world."
Previous unofficial statistics show that Iran, China, India, Italy and Spain are the top five countries in the field of decorative stone and facade mining.
Fallah added: "Today, Iran is thinking of finding its capable artists in the field of stone constructions to prove themselves in international markets, and this can be achieved by the overlap of various factors."
Iran is thinking of regaining its position as a stone exporter
The secretary of the mentioned festival pointed out: Iran does not have an influential position in the field of export of decorative stone and facade today and this important thing must be restored by different methods and the realization of this important thing is possible.
According to media statistics, it was previously announced that the annual value of Iran's stone exports is $ 350 to $ 450 million, which does not meet expectations.
The Ministry of Industry had announced in the 11th government: Iran should achieve $ 1 billion worth of exports in the stone industry in a five-year period, but so far this issue has not been implemented.
Fallah stressed the need to identify new international markets for Iranian stone and said: "UNESCO and the Rome Exhibition are considered as sponsors of the festival in the international arena, while domestic universities also provide the necessary support to this event." They have acted.
Specialized review of works by Iranian and foreign judges
According to Fallah, five judges are set to judge the works, three of whom are Iranian, one Italian and the other Spanish.
He mentioned the first rank prize of this festival as 50 million Tomans, the second as 30 million Tomans and the third as 20 million Tomans, and up to the twentieth person will have cash prizes.
Fallah predicted that the outstanding works of this festival would be exhibited in Italy as well as in Spain.
This national event will be held with the presence and support of elites, university professors, mines and specialized companies in the field of stone, and in addition to the national dimension, within its international perspective and with the aim of introducing creative ideas and designs and introducing various types. And unique Iranian stones to the world, will be held.
