According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, "Iman Alagheband" in the press conference of the first national festival of Iranian stone design (small-scale stone structures) by the association added: "Very creative Iranian artists and designers at home and abroad according to taste." They have shown their potential, but a new plan is underway to introduce our country's potential in this area, and the establishment of a festival to recover and identify Iranian artists is the first step.
He added: The Iranian Stone Association, with the design of its Architecture and Art Commission, is on the way to recovering and integrating artists in the stone handicrafts section, and the products of this section will be exhibited inside and outside.
Published statistics show that the production capacity of decorative stone and facade in Iran is over 30 million tons, of which more than 1,200 mines active in this field with about 30 to 35% of their production capacity to the consumer market.
Diverse and quality Iranian stones in world markets
According to this report, "Reza Hassanzadeh", a member of the board of directors of the Iranian Stone Association, also reminded the Iranian stone monuments in museums inside and outside the country in this press conference: "Iran has many stone mines with high diversity, the quality of this stone Are also considered in global markets.
He pointed out: "Sang-e-Amrooz Association has put its approach in introducing the country's capabilities in this field by using the professors present in the Architecture and Art Commission and is expected to benefit from the participation of artists in different categories."
Hassanzadeh explained: "Currently, the cities of the country are very poor in terms of visual volumes of stone created by the young artists of our country, but with coherent planning, we can move in this direction designed by the Stone Association."
According to this report, it is holding the "National Festival of Iranian Stone Design" with the theme of "small-scale stone structures". This national event will be held with the presence and support of a large number of elites, university professors, mines and specialized companies in the field of stone, and in addition to the national dimension, within its international perspective and with the aim of introducing creative ideas and designs and Also, the introduction of various and unique types of Iranian stones to the world will be held.
The first stage of this festival will start on the 10th of Bahman of this month and will continue until the 20th of Esfand. From the selection of selected works, in the second stage, the construction of works using selected stones from the country's stone mines, started by the owners of the designs and was judged by the festival jury and in July next year, in addition to publishing in the festival book, in The format of "National Iranian Stone Festival Exhibition" will be displayed to the public.
Also, one of the goals of this festival is to enliven the stone in the contemporary lifestyle of people using design and artistic thinking. In this regard, the selected works of this festival will be exhibited in the form of specialized exhibitions in Italy and Spain, which are among the leading countries in the field of stone production and design.
