Restrictions on returned check issuers were announced
Spokesperson for the implementation of the new law on issuing checks: The new law on issuing checks imposes severe restrictions on issuers of returned checks.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, the most important issues raised by the spokesman for the implementation of the new law on the issuance of checks are as follows:
- These restrictions include not opening a new bank account and card, not opening documentary credits and not granting bank facilities.
- A more stringent measure that is intended for the issuer of returned checks according to this law is to block the accounts of the issuer of returned checks in the amount of the check. These accounts will remain blocked until the assignment is determined, and after the assignment is determined, the blocking of these accounts will be performed.
- According to the new law, the issuance of checks is done systematically and through the fishing system. Therefore, the hunter system will not issue new checks for unqualified people, including those who have unsettled return checks or people who have a court conviction.
- The issuer of the check must record the information of the issued check including the date, amount and identity of the recipient in the hunter system. Therefore, if the check is not registered in the hunter system, it will be invalid.
- The recipient of the check should not receive a check from the issuer that is not registered in the system, otherwise the bank will not pay the check.
- Upon receipt of the physics of the check, the recipient of the check must match the information recorded in it with the information registered in the system and, if the information is correct, announce the level of approval in the system. If the physics of the check and the information registered in the system do not match, the recipient must choose one of the reasons for rejecting the check to prevent the check from being approved in the system.
