The development of international relations requires an advanced banking system
The head of the Hamedan Chamber criticized the private sector for not participating in major international contracts, and said that one of the reasons for the failure of the Borjam era was the lack of attention to the private sector and the lack of capacity in this area.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, the head of the Hamedan Chamber stated that it is possible that we will see the lifting of sanctions against Iran due to the change of the US President, while emphasizing the need to prepare the conditions for facing the post-sanctions period. Borjam missed the opportunity because in those days the country's banking infrastructure was not ready at all.
Ali Asghar Zabrdast, head of the Hamedan Chamber, pointed to the unpreparedness of the banking infrastructure for the post-sanctions period and stressed: "If we did not succeed in Borjam, the main reason was the lack of banking infrastructure." Unfortunately, the country's banking system is not equipped and up-to-date, so even today, if sanctions are lifted, we will not be able to plan for the development of exports and international trade activities.
The economic activist also pointed to the problems in the field of transportation, the exhaustion of the country's transit fleet, and cumbersome laws in this field, and continued: "If there is to be a jump in the country's exports, we must also think about equipping existing resources in the field of transportation."
"The private sector has suffered the most from US sanctions," he said. "What matters most is defining the place of the private sector in the economy." Unfortunately, in recent years, due to the lack of a field for the private sector, this sector has not been able to participate in major international contracts. Entering international markets has its own rules, and during these years the Iranian private sector has always been pushed back and private companies have been the driving force.
According to this economic activist, with the help of training and support of the Iran Chamber, it may be possible to learn how to communicate with foreign parties and provide a basis for the real private sector to play a role in developing the level of international relations.
