Permission for free trade negotiations with Eurasia was obtained
Head of Trade Development Organization: On November 26, last year, an agreement was signed between Iran and the European Union and Asia. Iran was one of the first countries to enter the negotiations in 2014, when the union was formed. A month ago, permission was obtained for free trade talks between Iran and Eurasia.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Hamid Zadboom stated in the meeting of the delegation of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce: The Eurasian Union has about $ 850 billion in trade with the world countries, of which $ 331 billion is imports. Iran's share of this amount is about $ 2.5 billion. That is $ 1.6 billion in imports and $ 823 million in exports. About 80% of our imports from Eurasian countries are agricultural products, especially cereals. 168% of our exports are agricultural products, but mostly related to fruits and nuts.
He added: "Developed countries prefer free trade to preferential trade." In free trade, tariff and non-tariff barriers are removed, the next step is the customs union, in which customs tariffs are set for a third country. In the next stage are the economic unions, which move freely throughout the region. Like the European Union and the Eurasian Union, which of course have some differences.
The head of the Trade Development Organization also clarified: The agreement between Iran and the European Union and Asia was signed on November 26, last year. Iran was one of the first countries to enter the negotiations in 2014, when the union was formed. A month ago, permission was obtained for free trade talks between Iran and Eurasia.
He noted that three working groups have been set up in the agreement to open free trade. The highest authority for conducting these negotiations is the Joint Working Group. Three other working groups have been set up, including customs cooperation, trade and standard technical measures and health measures.
