Head of Khorasan Razavi Mining Engineering Organization: Machinery wear in the field of mining is the most important challenge of this sector, which has increased production costs in the field of processing and mining industries.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Habibollah Tarshizian added: "Despite the significant mineral reserves in the country, the wear and tear of machinery in this sector has caused Iranian miners to compete with global miners in unfair conditions."

He continued: "This year and simultaneously with the outbreak of Corona, the supply of mining machinery has faced problems due to currency problems, global communications and bureaucracy in the country."

The head of the Khorasan Razavi Mining Engineering Organization said: "For some time, due to problems in allocating currency, the import of machinery in the mining sector was banned, but recently the machinery was allowed to enter the country and the mining house is accelerating activities in this area." Well done.

He expressed hope that with the opening of foreign exchange and the allocation of the necessary budget, the administrative bureaucracy would be reduced because a miner could not close his activity in the mine and wait for 6 months for a series of machines to be imported from abroad.

Tarshizian added: Khorasan Razavi Mining Engineering System Organization has 3,400 members, of which 1,000 are licensed, which means that 9% of the country's mining engineers are employed in Khorasan Razavi.

He mentioned the number of technical officials stationed in the mines of Khorasan Razavi as 400: the current recession in the construction industry has caused the closure of some of the province's mines, especially the mines of sand, carcass stone and construction materials, and the technical officials have laid off.

The head of the Khorasan Razavi Mining Engineering Organization continued: "This organization, in cooperation with the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of the province, is identifying mines without a technical manager in the province in order to correct this shortcoming."

The number of valid mining licenses in Khorasan Razavi is 914 with a reserve of 2.77 billion tons and a nominal extraction of 39.6 million tons with an investment of 109,072 billion rials and job creation for 10,336 people.

There are 46 types of minerals in Khorasan Razavi, which are the main known materials in the country. Metal materials including iron ore, manganese, gold, chromite and copper and non-metallic materials including industrial soil, silica, kaolin, coal, construction materials and decorative stones are the main mines of Khorasan Razavi province.
