82% growth in Iranian exports of items covered by the Eurasia Agreement
Referring to the start of free trade negotiations with the Eurasian Economic Union, the Director General of the Trade Development Organization of Iran announced the readiness of our country to start negotiations with the Eurasian side and obtain a negotiating permit from the Council of Ministers.
According to the Iran International Stone Exhibition, Hamid Zadboom in the meeting of strategic coordination of free trade negotiations with Eurasia, which was attended by Seyed Rasoul Mohajer, Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of some relevant agencies, added: The Eurasian High Economic Council stated that the permit was issued on December 11, 2020.
Eurasia Secretariat ready to start negotiations
He continued: "Currently, the member states of the union are in internal coordination and the Eurasian Secretariat had announced its readiness to start negotiations in February 2020.
Referring to the positive performance of the one-year implementation of the Interim Agreement on the Establishment of a Free Zone between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union, the Director General of the Trade Development Organization of Iran announced an 82% increase in Iranian exports of items covered by the agreement.
Zadboom referred to the steps taken to start these negotiations and said: "The process of preparing commodity lists after receiving the opinions of other agencies and the private sector and comparative studies on the text of Eurasian Free Trade Agreements with other countries and their list of privileges as well as negative commodity lists It has been studied and reviewed by other devices.
