Five percent of the country's mining salaries belong to Kurdistan
Head of Kurdistan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: Five percent of the total salaries received from the country's mines belong to this province, this year 1 billion and 400 million tomans of these salaries have been returned to Kurdistan.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Darreh Hozmi on Thursday in the ninth meeting of the Provincial Mines Council, which was held in the Hall of the Unknown Martyrs of the governorate, said: They pay to the government in proportion to their operating license.
He pointed out that 106 billion tomans of government salaries were received from the province's mines last year, adding: "According to the law, 15% of the mines' salaries must be returned to the province and spent on infrastructure."
The head of the Kurdistan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization added: "For the first time this year, 15% of the mines' salaries (collected last year) have been given to the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade by the Program and Budget Organization to be distributed among the provinces."
Announcing that five percent of the salaries received from the country's mines belong to Kurdistan, Darhvazmi reminded: this year, 190 billion tomans of the government salaries collected last year have been granted to the Ministry of Industry, of which 15 percent is equivalent to 28 billion tomans.
He stated: "Five percent of the mentioned amount, ie one billion and 400 million tomans, has been paid to the province and we are spending it on the roads of the villages leading to several mines."
The head of the Kurdistan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization announced the number of mines in the province as 473 mines and said: out of this number, 187 active mines, 139 inactive mines, 65 block mines and 6 mines are being equipped and prepared.
Mineral diversity of Kurdistan province includes 18 types of metallic materials, important non-metallic, important construction materials and including mines that have exploitation licenses: gold, iron ore, manganese, lead and zinc, barite, silica, feldspar, decorative stones (marble , Marble, granite and travertine), pumice, pozzolan, limestone and carcass stone.
