He noted that US sanctions have made life difficult for various sectors of the economy, society and culture, and that the effects of the outbreak of the coronavirus have added to the situation, which has led to the closure of various sectors, including peddlers. The country has imposed.
Referring to the changes in the export of goods in the last three years, the First Vice President emphasized: If the export is done well according to the existing conditions, the transfer of currency created many obstacles, so that this action affects Iran's trade relations with friendly countries. Regarding the exchange rate, Jahangiri said: "There were three exchange rates in all previous governments, and since 1392, this government has tried to reduce the gap between the exchange rate to less than 10 percent to be in a good direction for economic activities." To be placed.
He added: "With the beginning of the economic war, the situation was predicted to destroy Iran's economy. With the policies of the Central Bank and $ 150 million daily intervention in the market, an attempt was made to establish control over the economy, and based on this, the exchange rate was 4,200 Tomans." "Despite the outbreak of the coronavirus, we have seen a slight decline in the number of employees," he said. "In the spring, we lost 1.4 million jobs, which in the summer to 1.2 million people, and in the autumn to One million people were reduced.
The first vice president added: "In the industrial sector, this figure was only 43,000 in the summer and 8,000 in the fall."
Trade volume of 110 million tons of goods in the last 9 months
"Last year, the figure was $ 8 billion, and this year it has reached its lowest level, while 110 million tons of goods in the first nine months," he said. This year has been traded with different parts of the world.
Jahangiri said that the United States had boycotted the ports, shipbuilding and mooring of Iranian ships. "In the last nine months, 58 million tons of goods have been exported, which shows that exporters have managed the country's economy during this period by providing the required currency," he said.
The first vice president emphasized: "It is on this basis that in the last three years, there has been no shortage of goods, medicine and equipment used by the people, and despite difficult conditions and rising prices, economic activists prevented the system from collapsing and the country from collapsing."
He said that the private sector has entered a new era for business, noting that at the time of the signing of the Borjam, this sector was not ready to accept this volume of applicants, but now it can plan to create a new horizon in the country and the opening of dialogue. The business will gain the necessary interest.
Jahangiri stressed the need to lift sanctions: "In the last three years, the government has committed itself to circumventing or neutralizing sanctions in a variety of ways, which would not have been possible without the support of the private sector."
