Representative of Boroujerd and Ashtrinan people in the Islamic Consultative Assembly: There are 22 mines in the city.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Abbas Goodarzi on the sidelines of the Boroujerd Investment Holding meeting told reporters: "Considering the importance of the mining industry in this meeting today, it was decided to take measures to create an economic situation in this area in Boroujerd."
He added: "Currently, there are 22 mines in the city, of which three are inactive, 17 are non-metallic mines, one is a decorative stones mine and one is a construction materials mine."
The representative of the people of Boroujerd and Ashtrinan in the parliament pointed out: so far no action has been taken in the field of metal mining.
Goodarzi added: "Considering that the Ministry of Industry, ie Imidro Holding, has identified six metal mines, including gold and other metals."
He said: "This talent exists in Boroujerd and it has been decided due to the importance of the issue and that we can turn these capacities into economic advantage and wealth creation by increasing the credit and value of the national currency."
The representative of the people of Boroujerd and Ashtrinan continued: it was decided to issue a supplementary exploration license for them in a period of time, and if the supplementary explorations have acceptable results, it will be the beginning of a valuable and great change in the employment field of the city.
