90% of the country's export gates are active
Deputy Minister of Export Markets Development of the Trade Development Organization of Iran: Despite the intensification of restrictions due to the global outbreak of coronavirus, sanctions and arrogant economic pressures in the first 9 months of this year, the situation of the country's export markets has improved and now over 90% of border crossings are active.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mojtaba Mousaviyan Rizi stated this, adding: "Some countries, such as Afghanistan, to which Iran's export trend was negative, have now become positive."
He said: "Some of Iran's main trading partners, such as China and Iraq, each of which alone accounts for 25% of the country's exports, the steep and very negative slope of exports to them has changed gently."
The Deputy Minister of Export Markets Development of the Trade Development Organization of Iran continued: "Out of 20 target export countries of Iran, to which about 90% of the country's exports are made, despite corona and sanctions, exports to seven countries have been positive compared to last year."
Mousavian Rizi reminded: in relation to other export target countries, the very negative trend of exports has softened and it is expected that in the continuation of the year, the country's export volume will decrease by a maximum of 10% compared to last year and 90% will be achieved.
He continued: "This 10% reduction was predicted by international institutions due to the prevalence of corona for all countries of the world and is not only related to Iran.
The Deputy Minister of Export Markets Development of the Trade Development Organization of Iran stated: This year, more than $ 25 billion was exported from the country in 9 months and compared to the same period last year, it has decreased by 20%, which will increase to $ 36 billion in the first three months of winter. The reduction percentage will be compensated.
