320 mineral exploration areas in Zanjan province will be liberated
Head of Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of Zanjan Province: 301 exploration areas have been blocked and 19 promising areas resulting from the zone in this province are ready to be liberated and handed over to mining activists.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Nasser Faghfouri added: the blocked areas include all kinds of minerals that are scattered throughout the province.
He reminded: According to the schedule announced by the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, the release of inactive mining areas in Zanjan province has been set for January 14th, at which time applicants can register their application in the cadastral system.
Regarding the necessary conditions for registering the application by the applicants, Faghfori said: in order to transfer the mines to individuals, their technical and financial competence must be certified by the organization.
The head of the province's Industry, Mining and Trade Organization stated: "With the liberalization and activation of these mines in the province, we will see the prosperity of the mining sector and a significant increase in investment and job creation in this sector."
He expressed hope that the relevant institutions and departments will have the necessary cooperation and agreements in order to activate these mines.
Faghfori pointed out: Halilabad area was one of the mining areas that was liberated last year.
According to this report, Zanjan is one of the mining provinces of the country and ranks sixth in the country in terms of the number of mines. Currently, out of 333 active mines in this province, 80 are metal mines and 253 are non-metal mines.
The nominal capacity of the province's mines is an annual production of 11 million and 920 thousand tons of minerals and three thousand people are directly employed in the mines sector of the province.
