Membership in the mine house subject to payment of 50 to 200 million Tomans!
The Secretary General of the Union of Manufacturers and Exporters of Mineral Products of Iran considered the allocation of fuel to the mines and the provision of administrative services on condition of payment of unconventional figures for membership in the Mining House as abuse of delegated authority and unregulated tasteful behavior.
According to the Iran International Stone Exhibition, a memorandum of understanding was recently signed between the Iranian Mining House and the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade to use the expert opinions of the private sector and transfer some government powers to the Mining House. Mining activists were also welcomed. However, following the signing of this memorandum, Iran Mining House made the provision of services such as fuel quota allocation and administrative services conditional on membership in this organization with astronomical payments of up to 200 million Tomans.
Meanwhile, despite the 12,000 active mines in the country, the Mining House has less than 300 members, and the request for payments of several 10 million Tomans from new members seems strange. In recent days, letters signed by one of the employees of this organization (Iran Mining House) have been provided to this news agency and have also been published on virtual networks, which show that this official in charge of Iran Mining House has asked members in writing for 50 membership fees. Up to 200 million Tomans and this issue has been widely criticized by mining activists.
In this regard, Kamran Vakil, Secretary General of the Union of Manufacturers and Exporters of Mineral Products of Iran, announced his letter to Mohammad Reza Bahraman, President of the Mining House of Iran, during which he protested against the procedure and called for the correction of the current defective process.
The text of the letter of the Secretary General of the Union of Manufacturers and Exporters of Iranian Mineral Products to the President of the Iranian Mining House states:
"The transfer of part of the powers of government departments to private sector organizations has been discussed and demanded for a long time. Recently, as a result of his effective pursuits and the good opinion of the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade has some powers in the executive affairs of that ministry." During the conclusion of the memorandum, they were handed over to the Iranian Mining House.
According to the information received, some of the provincial institutions under its auspices have made the organization of the relevant services conditional on the fulfillment of conditions, or by sending correspondence without an authorized signature from the head office of that association, receiving unusual amounts called annual membership fee has been demanded. "Cases are unprecedented and oblige companies to pay amounts without upstream approvals and classification of mining companies has led to the abuse of delegated powers and unbridled tasteful behavior."
At the end of the letter, the lawyer stated that "Considering the fact that any negative feedback from the results of the signing of the Sadr-e-Ashareh Memorandum makes it impossible for such cooperation to continue with various government departments, "Pay special attention and supervision to the performance of assigned tasks."
