Secretary General and Member of the Board of Directors of the Iran-Greece Joint Chamber of Commerce: Greece can be one of the main export destinations of our country's merchants and traders due to its geographical location and the use of modern technologies.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Majid Movafeq Ghadiri, referring to the interest of the Greek people in cooperating with the people of Iran and Fars province, added: "Greece shares borders with many countries and can be the gateway for our traders to enter the European Union."

He continued: "Agricultural sectors, especially some citrus, dairy, stone, tourism, student exchange, delegation, cultural issues, packaging, marketing and industry can be good areas to strengthen cooperation between the two sides."

He said: "In recent years, Iran and Greece have had relations in various fields, including economic, but Greece in the economic field could not be one of our country's main partners and sanctions affect our country's relations with other countries."

The Secretary General of the Iran-Greece Joint Chamber of Commerce, referring to the economic advantages of Greece, said: "This country has a good capacity in the economic field and besides having waterways, it also has a key role in the Silk Road."

"Greece connects the three continents of Asia, Europe and Africa, and this feature can help our businessmen a lot in the field of trade," Ghadiri said.

He said: "Previously, with the aim of expanding Iran-Greece relations, there was an active airline between the two countries, but now this advantage is inactive due to sanctions, and we are looking to restart it."

He added: "Greece has a global position in the fields of agriculture, citrus, organic food, energy and renewable energy, marble, packaging and marketing, and exports to our country in the fields of clothing, chemicals and machinery."

A member of the board of directors of the Iran-Greece Joint Chamber of Commerce stated: The cost of registering a company and production in Greece is low and very simple, and this country has a high benefit in the field of using quality raw materials.

Moghaddam Ghadiri added: "Greece now has three free zones with high potential, which are exempt from taxes and duties."

He added: "In addition, in the Iran-Greece Joint Chamber of Commerce, we have provided legal advice and necessary information to Iranian businessmen and traders."

The historical proximity of Persia and Greece is a good opportunity to expand trade relations

The Secretary General of Fars Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture also considered the common culture and historical and cultural proximity of Iran, Fars and Greece as a suitable excuse for expanding and developing trade relations between the two sides and said: Fars by interacting with Isfahan and Yazd provinces tourism plan Has implemented the Golden Triangle, which in the first step can increase the level of Persian-Greek relations in the form of this plan.

Ali Awadpour added: "Currently, 4,190 small, medium and large industrial units with employment of over 92,000 people are active in Fars, which indicates the special position of industry in this province."

He continued: In the field of handicrafts and hand-woven carpets, licorice extract and cellulose industries, Fars has a favorable position in the international trade basket of the country.

He said: "Fars is also one of the powerful provinces of the country in various sectors of tourism, agriculture, food industry and industry, and in the tourism and university sectors, it has good capacities that we can plan to increase interactions in these sectors."

He added: "Our traders in Fars province are not fully acquainted with the Greek market, which in order to expand trade and economic relations, the various dimensions of Greek economic activities need to be carefully presented to our traders in accordance with the principles of International Trade Day."

Awadpour said: "Familiarity with the markets of the target countries for the development of exports is important and principled, and therefore in this regard we need the support of the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Greece to provide the necessary support to Persian economic actors in the Greek market."

He added: "Our country's economic sector has fluctuated due to sanctions, but these conditions are not sustainable and we must have a comprehensive plan for post-sanctions and post-corona."
