Governor of East Azerbaijan: 100 stagnant and inactive production units of East Azerbaijan returned to the production cycle.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Mohammad Reza Pourmohammadi said in a meeting of the Government-Private Sector Dialogue Council held at the Tabriz Chamber of Commerce in the presence of Alireza Razm Hosseini, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade: We are a country and the problems of sanctions have faced challenges for industrial and production units, but no production unit in the province has been closed in the last two years.
He said that during the Corona period, no force has been adjusted in the production units of the province, adding that East Azerbaijan is in the second and third ranks of the country in terms of development and creation plans.
Pour Mohammadi also pointed to the boom in non-oil exports from the province and said that East Azerbaijan has high economic and industrial potential, adding that the province's non-oil exports have grown by 50 percent in recent years.
He announced the production of 35% of the country's auto parts in East Azerbaijan and said: East Azerbaijan is one of the most important provinces of the country in terms of industrial, mining, agricultural and service capabilities.
The governor of East Azerbaijan pointed to the existence of various industrial units in this province and added: "More than 5,500 major industrial units are active in this province."
He also referred to the activities of 13 car manufacturing units in this province and said: "East Azerbaijan has high potentials that we must use."
Pourmohammadi declared East Azerbaijan the center of sweets and chocolates of the country and said: Tabriz has been named as the capital of sweets and chocolates of Iran and its products are exported to 80 countries.
