The head of the Greater Tehran Economic Security Police announced the discovery of smuggled decorative stones in a warehouse in the south of Tehran, and said: "Experts have announced the value of the smuggled stones at 100 billion rials."

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Colonel "Ali Valipour Goodarzi" explained: Following the information about the depot of smuggled goods of foreign stone type in Shurabad warehouses, the operational agents of this police were sent to the said warehouse.

He further stated: It was observed that some quantities of foreign stone products made in Italy are approximately 33,000 square meters of depot.

The warehouse manager was asked to provide positive customs documents stating that the goods had been transferred to the warehouse by a person for two months and that no documents related to the goods had been delivered to me.

The head of the Fateb Economic Security Police said that the owner of the goods at the scene was unable to provide customs documents.

 He stated: The accused was arrested and transferred to the southern base of the capital's economic security police for legal proceedings.

The police official said that the experts had declared the value of the smuggled property to be 100 billion Rials, and asked his compatriots to report any smuggling or hoarding of goods to the police through 110 police emergencies.
