Introduction of 94 promising mineral areas
According to the Iranian Minerals Production Company, out of a total of 34 exploration zones on the agenda, 19 zones have been completed so far, which has led to the introduction of 94 promising zones, resulting in the issuance of 12 exploration licenses and two discovery certificates.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, based on the fact that the Iranian Minerals Production Company has put an area of 115,000 square kilometers in the country in the form of 34 exploration zones studies since 1392 with the aim of exploring new reserves. So far, 19 zones with an area of more than 46,000 square kilometers have been completed, leading to the introduction of 94 promising areas with a total area of 10,000 square kilometers.
According to the company, the result of the introduction of 94 promising areas is the issuance of 12 exploration licenses and two discovery certificates, in which exploration operations are being carried out in 10 exploration licenses.
According to the main goal of Iran Minerals Production Company to provide services in deprived areas with the aim of future development and investment, major exploration zones in deprived provinces such as Sistan and Baluchestan, South Khorasan and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad have been defined.
Also in the remaining areas, which are located in the provinces of Fars, Isfahan, Khorasan Razavi, Gilan, Qazvin, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Hormozgan, Markazi and Kerman, despite the outbreak of coronavirus, exploration operations are being carried out at full speed and identification phase in all They have been completed and the search operation will be completed within the next six months.
In addition to the mentioned areas with the aim of developing mining activities in the western provinces of the country, for six provinces of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Ilam, Kermanshah, Chaharmahal Bakhtiari, Lorestan and Fars province, mineral potential operations have been defined. , Ilam and Fars have been finalized.
It is worth mentioning that in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces, there are suitable potentials of minerals of copper, bauxite, phosphate, lime, trace elements, building stone and celestine, in Mamasani city of Fars province, lime, bauxite and phosphate and in Ilam province, decorative stone, bitumen, Industrial soil, salt, sulfur and gypsum are introduced.
