One percent of Yazd mines should be allocated to compensate the losses of the region
The head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Yazd Province, referring to the allocation of one percent of mine sales in the Sixth Development Plan of the country, called for its allocation to mining areas to compensate for the damage and implement development and health projects.
According to the International Iran Stone Exhibition, Seyed Mahmoud Mirabolghasemi in a joint meeting of council members with the head of the Management and Planning Organization of the province added: In the Sixth Development Plan, it was specified that bank accounts and turnover of mines in the provinces and areas where mineral reserves are located. The reason for the absence of the law of this important is not 100% realized.
The chairman of Bahad city council further pointed out: considering that the government submitted next year's budget to the Islamic Consultative Assembly, it is necessary for the representatives of Yazd people in the parliament to be effective in various commissions to review the budget and with the representatives of national capacities in Considered to take effective steps in the budget for the development of Yazd.
Mirabolghasemi, presenting a report on the activities of the council in the past year, said: "In the last year, the activities of the council will continue with the authority of work and missions."
The head of Yazd Management and Planning Organization also pointed to the importance of councils in the constitution and said: "City and village council members are in fact the representatives of the people and have a special place in the supervisory field and are ready to answer to the council at any time and under any circumstances."
Seyed Mojtaba Hosseinipour also explained the situation of credit, income and expenses of Yazd province in next year's budget bill and added: the province's budget figures have a good growth compared to the previous year.
Out of about 550 mines in the province, five are on a large national scale and the rest are medium and small. Among the national mines are Chadormelo Ardakan iron ore, Bafgh coal (2 mines), Mehdiabad Mehriz lead and zinc and uranium. Saghand pointed out that the total reserves of the province's mines are estimated at about 2 billion tons.
There are more than 50 types of mineral indices in Yazd and for this reason it is the fourth industrially developed province and the second province in terms of mineral diversity. This region is the bedrock due to its location in the center of Iran and the collapse of the central desert and several active faults. There are several mineral reserves and the existence of these mines is an advantage for the province.
Currently, more than 12,000 people are mining in Yazd province.
