One thousand stagnant mines will be rehabilitated across the country by the end of this year
The head of the Mining Engineering System Organization announced the revival of a thousand stagnant and closed mines in the country and said: 11,000 mining licenses have been issued so far, of which 4,700 are stagnant and closed.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Taghi Nabi on the sidelines of the meeting of the Qazvin Province Mines Council, stating that Iran produces 13 major minerals in the world and is among the top 10 countries, added: "Iran's mines have 27 widely used minerals and are among the top 20 countries in the world." Is.
He said that the most important reason for the stagnation of the activities of the country's mining units is the financial problems of investors, the wear and tear of machinery and having government and local conflicts, and said: the government has taken good steps to return closed mines to the production cycle and good expert measures have been taken.
Nabi said that according to the general policy of the Ministry of Silence, one thousand mines with problems have been identified with prioritization and are on the agenda this year, adding: miners have been given a three-month opportunity to activate the mines at their disposal to stabilize the stagnant mines. And disable their assignment.
The head of the Mining Engineering System Organization said: 50% of the mines in Qazvin province are stagnant and inactive, so far 120 mines with identified capacity and 30 mines are scheduled to return to the activity cycle.
The official added: Qazvin is a developed civil province that is also responsible for providing construction materials to neighboring provinces and is also the first hub for the production of industrial raw materials.
Nabil pointed out that more than 16 minerals are produced in Qazvin, reminded: this province has good capacities in the production of raw materials for decorative stones, granite, carcasses and construction materials, and the production capacity of these mineral resources can be improved with favorable investment.
He stated that Qazvin province is the top rank in the country in the production of glass and tile raw materials, adding: the location of the largest tile production company in Qazvin shows the desired production capacity of mineral raw materials in this industry in this province.
Nabi said that gaining the first rank in glass production in Qazvin is due to the valuable reserves of smooth, reminded: 60% of non-float glass, safety glass, car safety glass and crystal tableware are produced in Qazvin annually.
The head of the Iranian Mining Engineering Organization pointed to the establishment of a copper factory in the Tarom region of Qazvin and said: "By exploiting Tarom copper reserves, many needs of the electronics, automobile, construction and pharmaceutical industries will be met."
