The country's mineral reserves will be responsible for the next 14 years
The head of the Mining Engineering System Organization pointed to the development of mineral exploration in the country and said: "Exploration reserves will be responsible for the next 14 years at most."
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Taghi Nabi added at a meeting of the Qazvin Mines Council on Thursday: "If Iran exploits its mineral reserves according to international standards, it will have several times more oil revenues for the country and will have economic justification."
He said that investing in copper mining is one of the main capabilities of currency exchange and industrial development, he reminded: Silica mine for the next 5 years and Tarom copper mine have reserves for the next 10 years.
Nabi emphasized on the development of sand mines and added: with the development of these mines, there is no need to provide these materials with high prices from remote areas.
The head of the Mining Engineering System Organization pointed to the mining capacities of Qazvin province and said: Qazvin has good mining capacities for planning and can help the economy of the country and the province.
The representative of the people of Qazvin, Abik and Alborz in the Islamic Consultative Assembly also said in this meeting: Mining is an important issue that we should transfer part of the economy to the mining sector according to the capacities that exist in the province.
Lutfullah Siahkali, stating that the mines that have no economic justification for the province should be closed, added: a list of mines ready for investment should be prepared and presented.
The head of the Industry Organization and the secretary of Qazvin Province Mines Council also said in this meeting: "By inviting investors in the field of polymetals, we seek to create an opportunity to use the potentials and reserves in the province, including lead and zinc mines."
Azizullah Afzali added: "In the year of production leap, by strengthening the mining industry in Qazvin province, we can take basic steps in the development of employment and prosperity in the region."
In this meeting, a comprehensive report on the amount of environmental effects and the percentage of pollution in the province's mines and Shahid Rajaei power plant and Alborz province mines and cement factory on the pollution of Abik city was reviewed.
