Deputy Chairman of the Money and Capital Markets Commission of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce: Unfortunately, in the current situation, our foreign trade structures are facing many problems that need to be reformed in order to have a successful business.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, unlike not so long ago, when the country's economy was managed on the basis of oil exports and the resulting currency, the current situation is such that such revenues can no longer be counted on and our economy due to the need to provide currency It has taken a new path.

The truth is that the economy of the country these days is uneasy due to the existence of sanctions and restrictions on the export of oil from this source and in order to provide the required currency, it is in dire need of exporting non-oil goods. But successful entry into the oil-free economy and the export of non-oil goods requires its own rules and structures that need to be addressed.

In fact, we need more and more stable foreign exchange policies by the government and decision-making entities in this area to enable trade planning and increase the country's exports. Unfortunately, our foreign trade structures are currently facing many problems that need to be improved in order to have a successful business.

In fact, the first thing that comes to mind in this regard is that since exports are a recurring issue, not all at once, and the exporter usually proceeds from the place of return of the currency, to supply and produce goods and re-exports, and also taking into account That the real exporters of the private sector - who are currently at the forefront of the economic war against our country - with numerous problems, restrictions and risks, both domestic and foreign, such as instability in regulations and policies, transportation problems, the issue of export rates, barriers to collection And the transfer of funds, it may not be fair to expect a successful export-oriented performance from them.

In order to be able to perform well in this field, we need the conditions that must be provided for our economic actors. Increasing the price of currency in proportion to the inflation rate and not suppressing it, can be one of the necessary parameters to increase the export of non-oil goods.

Of course, it should be noted that this is not an issue that traders can act on their own, and this must be accompanied by the support of the government and relevant institutions of export-oriented products with active economic diplomacy to develop export markets. In addition, stability in laws and regulations and its predictability is one of the issues that must be considered in this regard.

Of course, in addition to the cases and factors mentioned, it should be noted that the increase in exports due to rising exchange rates, requires favorable conditions for international trade, but at present this issue in our country is affected by US economic sanctions against our country. Which makes the path of international trade more difficult for us than ever before.

Beyond all this, and at a glance, we find that the world economy over the past year has been plagued by the outbreak of the Corona virus and its aftermath, which has created many problems for economic actors in all sectors and its effects can still be seen in the economy. ; Naturally, our country's trade system has not been without these challenges and limitations, and in various ways, it has restricted export routes and target options in this field for us.
