The stagnation in the exhibiting industry caused by the outbreak of the corona virus will continue until the market is confident about the management or end of the corona pandemic.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, exhibition activities almost fell to zero after the outbreak of the Corona virus, and this caused this large industry to face an unprecedented recession.

In the meantime, some events were held skewed and with special restrictions, which not only did not have much effect on improving the situation of the industry, which caused most of the groups participating in the events to be reluctant to attend the exhibitions. Now that the exhibition activities have resumed with the follow-up of the new CEO of Iran International Exhibitions Company and also the head of the Trade Development Organization, creating a desire among companies to participate in exhibitions is obvious.

But how can this passion be created among collections and companies that are unsure of the future of the exhibition industry and attendance at events?

Ali Mohtasham Amiri, exhibition organizer and CEO of Miladnoor, said: "I believe that the recession in the exhibition industry caused by the outbreak of the Corona virus will continue until the market is confident about the management or end of the Corona pandemic."

He added: "Apart from the issue of corona, the economic discussion of the society affected by sanctions has made companies, in order to manage their revenues and expenses, the first thing to remove from their list of actions is the discussion of exhibitions and the subject of advertising." Exhibitors should be sensitive to this issue and pay special attention to marketing so that companies can be interested in participating in exhibitions again.

The CEO of Milad Noor Exhibition Company continued: "After the outbreak of Corona virus and when some events were held incompletely, we held a sports exhibition against our will, because many companies were not present in this exhibition and those companies Everyone was present at the exhibition with uncertainty and did not benefit from this exhibition. As a result, the brand of the exhibition was weakened at that time.

Exit the exhibition industry out of recession

Mohtasham Amiri further pointed to the change of the CEO of Iran International Exhibitions Company and said: "Fortunately, Mr. Zamani has a high level of intellectual experience and has a good understanding of the country's exhibition industry." The consultations that he and Mr. Zadboom had solved the problem of holding exhibitions, which, in addition to being a happy place, shows Mr. Zamani's ability. This action caused the exhibition industry to get out of its severe recession, and by introducing this industry to the relevant authorities, they were able to facilitate the process of activity in this field. On the other hand, we hope that by starting the corona vaccination and following the protocols, we will be able to move the exhibition industry again.

The exhibition industry activist added: "If the sanctions imposed on the country are reduced and the space for the country's economic and commercial actors is opened and the corona is controlled, we can hope for the future of this industry to see a boom in this field." This will bring the exhibitions back to the way they were before and at the height of the events. In the meantime, unity among all actors in the exhibition industry will accelerate the growing trend of this industry.

In the end, Mohtasham Amiri referred to the exhibition calendar of Milad Noor Company and said: "We have decided to hold the rail transportation exhibition in February." In this regard, we are consulting with the Ministry of Roads and Railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Certainly, holding this event will not be like in previous years and will face a reduction in area, but in my opinion, holding this exhibition, although professionally and with restrictions, will be a step towards maintaining the exhibition industry in the current situation.
