The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran asked the Minister of Trade of Turkey to use the way for our country to use its banking resources with Turkish banks to buy the required goods directly through Turkey or through Turkish companies through other countries.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Alireza Razm Hosseini, in a telephone conversation with Rakhsar Pakjan, reminded and emphasized the long-standing relations between Iran and Turkey and said: Iran and Turkey are two neighboring, friendly and equal countries that always have extensive exchanges in the field. They had trade along with historical background and cultural similarities.

He stated that the volume of trade between Iran and Turkey in the past five years has been about $ 10 billion annually, adding that due to the outbreak of the coronavirus and its effects on business and trade, the volume of trade in the first eight months of this year to 4.3 It is $ 1 billion that we are looking to increase this amount of trade and there is the necessary capacity.

Create a new chapter for the expansion of exchanges between the two countries

The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, referring to the video conference talks between our President and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding the increase of exchanges and the use of Iranian banking resources in Turkish banks, said: The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade is responsible for following up matters related to areas It is industry, mining and trade, and we hope that this telephone conversation will be a new chapter in the expansion of trade between the two countries.

Razm Hosseini, stating that the international situation is now suitable for promoting trade, added: "We have the possibility of expanding trade in the field of trade and there is readiness to expand relations between the two countries in this field."

He also reminded that the outbreak of Corona virus has affected the international economy and world trade, adding: "We hope that the level of exchanges will increase over time."

Increasing the level of trade between the two countries on a win-win basis

The Minister of Industry also clarified: "We are following the negotiations and agreements on preferential trade mentioned in the Joint Commission of the two countries (August) so that the two countries can increase the level of their exchanges in a win-win situation."

Razm Hosseini also referred to our country's banking resources in Turkish banks, said: We want to use Iran's resources in Turkish banks to buy the items we need.

Using Iranian banking resources in Turkey to buy goods needed by our country

He said: "Now we need the required goods such as wheat, corn, soybean meal, oilseeds and crude oil. If Turkey has these goods, we are interested in buying from this country, and otherwise we are interested." We buy these goods through Turkish companies.
