Alireza Pakfitrat, another member of the Civil Commission of the Majles, also criticized the continuation of brokers' activities in the housing market, saying: "One of the reasons for the intensification and turmoil in the housing market is the activities of brokers and speculators in this area." Khosravi continued his analysis of the housing market and the main reason for the price increase. He said: "The main reason for the high price of housing is the reports of the Central Bank on the housing market." In June of this year, housing prices were reported to have risen by 42 percent, compared to 10 to 15 percent in the same month.
He continued: "Why did the central bank do this, because the banks were going bankrupt and the banks are backing real estate, which made the central bank balance positive."
He also cited energy carriers, the stock market, currency and gold as factors influencing the market and housing prices: "Banks are backed by the buildings they own, and when housing prices rose, they survived bankruptcy.
