Kerman province, with 40% of the country's mineral capacity and reserves, is known as the paradise of Iran's mines. If this capacity is used properly, in addition to solving the economic problems of this province, part of the problem of the country's budget deficit and national issues will also be solved.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, a large part of the capacity of mines in Kerman province as a paradise of mines in Iran due to various reasons, including lack of credit and exploitation expertise, has remained blocked and inactive and has not been able to provide sustainable growth and development in neighboring areas.

Kerman province, with 40% of the country's mineral capacity and reserves, is known as the paradise of Iran's mines. If this capacity is used properly, in addition to solving the economic problems of this province, part of the problem of the country's budget deficit and national issues will also be solved.

In the year of the production leap and at the same time with unprecedented sanctions against our country, the macro policy of the country and Kerman province to solve the current economic problems has been announced to use the capacity of mines instead of oil. While mining activation can bridge the class gap in different regions, some individuals have blocked these public resources for many years by obtaining permits, paving the way for sustainable employment and a boom in production, especially in disadvantaged areas. According to experts, in the past years, many owners and recipients of mineral exploitation and processing licenses did not have the necessary expertise, background and technical knowledge, as well as the financial capacity to carry out exploitation operations and construction of production lines.

Many mining zones in Kerman province have been licensed to housewives and farmers, which indicates that the technical and financial qualifications of the applicants for the exploitation license are not approved, which is a weakness in the mining development process. Also, the domination of these people over the mines, despite the more capable people in the country who do not have a license, reduces the production and exploitation capacity, job creation and balanced development of this province, which is definitely the shortest knot of mining development, especially in the current difficult situation.

The main obstacles to sustainable development in Kerman

According to the World of Mines, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, as the custodian, has well identified this challenge as one of the main obstacles to sustainable development of the country and the vast province of Kerman, and with the approval of the Blocked Mines Liberation Law, And if not activated, will put these mines up for auction.

If this law becomes operational, it will remove the biggest obstacles to employment and production leap in the country's mineral provinces. Some of these mines received all the exploitation permits and even the project implementation land by inquiring from the relevant agencies, but the implementation of the project has not started for months and years due to the problem of financing. If it is possible and there is a legal capacity to pay for the facilities, such mines can be activated by licensed persons; Otherwise, the licenses should be handed over to more capable people through auctions so that all the mineral capacities of this region can be used to help the people and advance the development goals of the country.

The role of mines in the development of the country

The head of Kerman Province's Industry, Mining and Trade Organization said: "This year, this province has deposited 3,500 billion tomans from the capacity of the mines to the treasury, but the province's share has not been returned to the deposit amount so far."

Mehdi Hosseini Nejad added: the 20% exemption capacity of mines should be used for the development of the province. This capacity is achieved by delegating authority to the Provincial Mines Council.

He said that these revenues will be spent on infrastructure in the province from the place of exploitation, development, exploration and environmental protection, he said: Golgohar region has used this capacity to build power plants and supply electricity to Kerman province and other industries. The mines can use it to supply their electricity and water industry, which is actually helping the province's infrastructure.

The secretary of the Kerman Province Council of Mines said: this capacity should be used to export processed products and to establish various knowledge and explorations. If these activities are generalized to the province, a great deal of work will be done.

Financial problems of Kerman mines

Hosseini Nejad added: 4,500 mining areas have been registered in the province, of which more than 3,000 mining licenses have been blocked and must be handed over through auctions.

He continued: "These permits are often revoked at the request and exploration stage and another investor is allowed to enter the area, except through auctions." This has been a major mining problem for the past 10 years, which the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade is pursuing.

The head of the Industry, Mining and Trade Organization of Kerman province said: "For this reason, the owners of mining licenses do not have the technical and financial capacity to register from a farmer to a housewife." The legal amendment of the qualifications of individuals in the form of exploratory guarantees should be considered in the form of a resolution that we hope the representatives will follow.

Closing remarks ...

Kerman province, with 40% of the country's mineral capacity and reserves, is known as the paradise of Iran's mines. If this capacity is used properly, in addition to solving the economic problems of this province, part of the problem of the country's budget deficit and national issues will also be solved. Unfortunately, most of the province's mines have been inactive so far; Therefore, with the measures that have been devised, it is necessary to move quickly towards the activation of these mines. Some individuals and companies have documented mining areas in the past but have stalled this vast capacity. It is expected that with the serious will of the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, the licenses of these mines will be put up for auction after a month.
