Vacancy of decorative stone clusters in Kermanshah
A member of the board of directors of the Kermanshah Mining Engineering System believes that Kermanshah has the potential to set up a "decorative stone" cluster, and with its launch, zero to one hundred explorations to the processing and trade of decorative stones will be organized.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Morteza Azizi, stating that the issue of launching a decorative stone cluster was raised from 2016 and 2017, added: At that time, the mining engineering system provided all the required data in various sectors from reserves to the commercial sector and those Collected work in this area and this data is now available.
He said: "However, the launch of this cluster has remained silent since then and has not yet been implemented.
A member of the board of directors of Kermanshah Mining Engineering System considered the existence of suitable reserves and active mines as the most important factor for selecting this cluster and stated: Currently in Kermanshah between 20 to 30 good decorative stone mines with necessary reserves are active, mainly in Harsin and Islam counties. They are west of Abad.
Azizi mentioned the benefits of creating this cluster and completing it and continued: Decorative stone clusters can include different parts from new discoveries to the processing stage, especially the commercial part.
He said that decorative stone is not very strong in the field of processing at the moment, adding that although Harsin stone and recently Islamabad-e-Gharb have gained world fame, but mostly raw leaves the province.
According to a member of the board of directors of the Kermanshah Mining Engineering System, currently only one or two small units are active in the field of decorative stone processing, but there is no planned processing.
Referring to the impact of launching decorative stone clusters on the trade of this product, Azizi noted: If we focus on good decorative stone trade, many other provinces are buyers of Kermanshah decorative stones.
A member of the board of directors of the Kermanshah Mining Engineering System added: "In addition to the Iraqi market, and especially during the reconstruction of the Syrian market, it will be a good opportunity to export Kermanshah decorative stones, which unfortunately we have lost in the last two or three years."
Azizi, noting that decorative stones from other provinces are currently exported to a considerable extent from the borders of Kermanshah, said: "We can easily replace the stones produced in the province with these export stones."
"Even countries like China buy our raw stone, and although it is now a bit of a chore, we can organize it," he said.
According to a member of the board of directors of the Kermanshah Mining Engineering System, in order to realize all these cases, it is necessary to follow up the launch of the decorative stone cluster and use the capacity of the private sector and those who have worked in this field.
