60% of Lorestan mines are active
Head of Lorestan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: 268 mining licenses have been issued in the province, of which more than 60% are active.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Bakhtiar Razani added: "This province has several minerals in terms of geology due to its location on the Sanandaj-Sirjan region (zone)."
He said: "More than 20 types of minerals have been discovered in this province, many of which are in the mining law except the first floor, and more including building materials such as limestone, gypsum, marble, porcelain, decorative and building stones, as well as Sand, carcass rock and malone.
He continued: "At the same time, metal indexes (mineral signs) are being explored in the east and west of Lorestan, so the province has a comparative advantage in terms of minerals, and its mines have an average of 9 million tons of real extraction per year, and one thousand." And they have created 800 jobs.
The head of Samat Lorestan pointed out: copper, gold, manganese and some other metal indices have been identified in this province and there is a relative capacity in the field of feldspar, talc, silica and bitumen in this region.
Razani reminded: Lorestan is a mineral province, therefore, downstream industries such as building stone processing units (stone cutting), production and granulation of sand (sand washing), production of calcium carbonate, ceramic tiles and It also established and strengthened a cement factory in the province.
Referring to the role of mines in rural employment, he said: "Mineral processing in the province and preventing the sale of raw materials is one of the policies of the Lorestan Mining Industry and Trade Organization, which is followed by reconstruction and modernization of mining industry production lines through payment of facilities to value." Criticizing the extraction and processing of minerals outside Lorestan, he added: "Several reserves of natural bitumen have been discovered that can provide the province's natural asphalt."
Razani continued: "Special attention to the mining sector in Lorestan causes the prosperity of the province's economy and creates significant employment, in this regard, several areas are being explored through the Geological Survey and the Mines Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro)."
He said: "At the same time, the Geological Survey in some parts of the province has prepared maps of" one 25 thousandths "that this type of activity will lead to the growth and promotion of mining, exploration and exploitation of exploration reserves.
