Lorestan mineral capacities are suitable for large investments
Head of Lorestan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization: This province is one of the rich regions in the field of minerals and has the ability to accept large investments in this field.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Bakhtiar Razani stated: Lorestan is considered as one of the mining provinces of the country, which is located in the zone (point) of Sanandaj - Sirjan and the middle Zagros.
He added: "These minerals include construction materials of gypsum, lime, salt, raw materials of cement industry and also anomalies (or capacity of iron ore and metal) that the main material of Lorestan mines is sedimentary and includes calcium carbonate in Khorramabad, Azna and It is Aligudarz.
The head of the Lorestan Province Industry Organization said: "Currently, there are 170 mines in this province, which include mines of decorative and facade stones, sand, lime, gypsum, dolomite, carcass stone, calcium carbonate, magnesium and sodium."
Razani stated: Gold and iron ore anomalies have been identified in the north of Aligudarz and Noorabad and leopard skin granites are also present in Boroujerd mines.
He continued: decorative stone mines are mined in Chegni city, Chinese stones in Dorud and marble stones in Azna and Aligudarz, some of which are world famous for their good quality.
Emphasizing the establishment of mineral processing and conversion industries in Lorestan, he added: "If there is a principled investment for this important, the added value of the final product will increase."
Currently, 22 types of minerals are extracted from Lorestan mines, three of which are metallic.
The province's mining reserves are estimated at more than 600 million tons, most of which are carcasses and decorative stones, and Lorestan has 2% of the country's stone reserves, which has about 6% of the country's extraction.
Also, in January of last year, a certificate was discovered for the discovery of the first Lorestan iron ore mine with a definite reserve of 50,000 tons in Aligudarz city.
