Identification of 900 promising mineral areas
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Imidro, stating that 900 promising mineral areas have been identified so far, said: More than 600 billion Tomans have been invested in the exploration sector since 1392.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, Khodadad Gharibpour stated: Since 1392, about 700,000 square kilometers of exploration activities have been carried out by Imidro and its subsidiaries, of which more than 400,000 square kilometers have been carried out in the past two years.
He said: "Also, 50,000 kilometers out of 700,000 kilometers of exploration operations have been carried out by a consortium of private companies."
According to Imidro's CEO, 900 promising mineral areas have been identified so far.
Issuance of 80 exploration licenses
The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade added: "Of the new areas, 280 are in the possession of Imidro and the rest of the zones (after one year) have been transferred to the Provincial Industry, Mining and Trade Organization for transfer to the private sector."
He said: out of 280 areas in Imidro's possession, 80 exploration licenses have been issued so far. Of these 80 licenses, 12 have been certified and handed over to the private sector.
Liberation of 460,000 kilometers of zones
Gharibpour announced: So far, 460,000 square kilometers have been liberated from the zones and 66,000 square kilometers (of these zones) have been handed over to the private sector this year.
600 billion investment in exploration
Regarding the amount of investment made in the field of exploration by this organization, he said: In the field of exploration, 600 billion Tomans of investment has been made by Imidro since 2014.
