Progress based on the mine roadmap

Member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Non-Oil Drillers: Helping to develop and modernize exploration, extraction and processing machinery, establishing and strengthening a trustee to invest in the country's processing sector, and setting up and strengthening statistical centers are other important issues that Imidro should focus on.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, according to statistics, Iran ranks third in Asia and first in the Middle East in terms of mineral reserves. Our country has about 5,500 active mines, of which an average of 400 million tons of minerals are extracted every year.
Our country is ranked 10th in the world in terms of diversity with 68 types of minerals, and with the exploration and identification of about 60 billion tons of mineral reserves, of which about 40 billion tons are definite and the rest are probable, it is in the 15th place in the world. However, unfortunately, we do not pay much attention to the mining sector.
Everyone says that the mining sector is important and the country is rich in natural resources with 69 minerals, but when we do, we face the oppression of this field. If we need the mining sector to boost production, we must also define the position of mines in the economy more precisely.
Unfortunately, it has been seen that development projects and natural resource laws take precedence over mining activities, while each can be operated together. Thus, before we can find a solution for the development of mines, we must think about its limitations and remove the obstacles. In the meantime, the roadmap for the mine and its implementation should be emphasized.
If the roadmap of the mine is important and the officials emphasize it, its implementation should be monitored and it should have a specific executor. If this important performer is clear, it should be said that it has a poor performance and its implementation is delayed. Among the organizations that play a key role in this regard is Imidro, which is known as the custodian of the development and modernization of the country's mines. The organization should work in holding high-level specialized courses and training courses for consultants and managers working in the private sector in various fields of exploration, extraction and processing.
Assisting in the development and modernization of exploration, extraction machinery and processing equipment, establishing and strengthening a trustee for investment in the country's processing sector, and setting up and strengthening statistical centers are other important issues that Imidro should focus on.
Regarding the role of the Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration Organization as the custodian of research and development, it should be said that this organization has been active in the country for about 40 years and has a lot of experience. In this way, as a consultant, he has to present the results of his studies and research to the private sector, while in the national database of earth sciences, some maps can be purchased and some are not available. Another issue is the presentation of zoning statistics. When zoning is done, the information must be made available to the private sector to prevent information rent-seeking.
