16 inactive mines in Hormozgan returned to the activity cycle

16 inactive mining units in Hormozgan province were revived on Friday evening in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade and returned to the activity cycle.
According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, the head of the Hormozgan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization said at the revival ceremony of these mines: "These stagnant mines in the province were reactivated with an investment of 1,820 billion rials."
Khalil Ghasemi added: with the revitalization of these mines, 172 new jobs were created.
He stated: Last year, 25 inactive and stagnant mines in Hormozgan province were activated with a total investment of 400 billion rials and job creation for 270 people.
According to the information published by the Hormozgan Industry, Mining and Trade Organization, there are currently 125 active mines in the province.
There are 112 mining areas with exploration licenses, 25 mines with exploration licenses and 226 mines with exploitation licenses in this province of Hormozgan with a total reserves of more than one and a half billion tons and about three thousand people work directly in these mines.
In Hormozgan, exploration can be done for 21 types of minerals and the basic mines of this province include gypsum, iron ore, salt rock, chromite rock and red soil.
