Deputy of Plan and Program of North Khorasan Industry Organization: Setting up a stone paper production unit will be a factor for the endeavor of Farooj industrial town.

According to the International Stone Exhibition of Iran, Mahyar Mashayekhi, referring to the project of stone paper being built near the Farooj industrial town, said: "This project is one of the projects of the resistance economy in this province, and the registered capital for this project is 246 billion." He said that North Khorasan has very good reserves of lime (calcium carbonate), adding: "Accordingly, the project to produce a variety of products and types of paper from composite granules based on calcium carbonate and polyethylene was defined."

Mashayekhi continued: in order to implement this project, lime powder will be mixed with granules after micronization, after which various products can be produced, including various types of paper, multilayer films, etc.

He added: "Currently, the necessary sheds for the implementation of this project have been built and the equipment has been registered, and a 6,000-ton production line is entering the country, which will be set up near the Farooj industrial town."

According to the official in charge, the first phase of the project will be operational by the end of this year, although the outbreak of the Corona virus has delayed the import of machinery from China.

He emphasized: with the implementation of this project, production will flourish in Farooj industrial town so that investors can invest in creating downstream industries such as paper cutting production units, postal envelopes, etc.

According to Mashayekhi, in fact, the stone paper production unit in this province is considered as one of the mother industries.
