Head of Iran Mining House: We have sufficient capacity and capacity to develop the mining sector and exploit this sector. In this process, we must try to update the mining equipment and machinery and use the latest technology.

According to the International Iranian Stone Exhibition, mining is one of the activities that due to the reduction of oil prices, the income from it has been considered by the government more than any other activity.

This is all the more important when we know that Iran, with more than 68 types of minerals, has 7% of the world's mineral reserves. Thus, we have a country with rich mineral resources that has many potentials, and in the meantime, the mine plays a significant role in its economic and social development. In addition to creating direct value and job creation, this sector also mobilizes other economic sectors.

Due to the prominent role of the mine, it is very important to pay attention to the quality of mining work and mining machinery and equipment. In this case, Samat newspaper has dealt with the issue of quality, which has been mentioned in the forthcoming report by experts and activists in the field of mining.

Meet the needs of neighbors

Mohammad Reza Bahraman, the head of Iran's Mining House, said that development cannot be achieved in the mining sector without considering the quality: "Minerals are closely related to human life." Given our dependence on the mining sector, improving the quality of minerals is of paramount importance.

The head of the Iran Mining House, stating that our country has a large young population, said: We have sufficient capacity and capacity to develop the mining sector and exploit this sector. In this process, we must try to update the mining equipment and machinery and use the latest technology.

He added: "Considering that the cost rate in mining is increasing day by day, it is the best alternative to pay attention to quality and modern technology."

Bahraman, stating that the country's mining sector should be seen as an advantage, said: "Since exploration in each sector is associated with high costs and at the same time we are facing a decline in minerals, the use of modern technology in mining machinery is a good alternative to improve quality." It is counted in this section. Meanwhile, all major companies in the world are researching and updating mining machinery and equipment and are constantly trying to improve the quality of their goods.

Pointing out that Iran's future depends on the mining sector and the mining industry, Bahraman continued: "We can be the main supplier of primary resources to neighboring countries;" Provided that we increase our quality and progress in this area.

The head of Iran Mining House stated: One of the jobs that the country needs in the future is mining engineering. For the growth of this field, the approaches and perspectives of the country must change and graduates of this field should be attracted to firms and companies immediately after graduation.

He said about the importance of how to manage in the macro sector of the country's economy: "One of the needs of the mining sector is to train resourceful managers. Development in the country does not happen without quality managers, and it is with such managers that we can train developed graduates.

Significant gap with international standards

Farshid Taybi, the head of Tehran Mining Engineering Organization, emphasizing that our mines have no quality with international quality and standards, said: "Unfortunately, there is no specific roadmap for mining in the country and we have not been able to act transparently and in accordance with the quality of the world day." Examining the reports of the mines, we find that most of their activities are not based on international standards and do not have a specific path for development and exploitation.

He stressed: "If a foreign investor enters the country for any reason and states that he does not care about sanctions and intends to operate in the country, the existing mines and conditions are not ready to provide services to international investors, because they do not have the necessary quality."

Common language in exploration and exploitation

Taybi pointed out that the reports on exploration and exploitation are not up-to-date, noting that there is a common language in the world for reporting on the end of exploration, exploitation, reserves and extraction operations, while in our country the situation is like this. No, because the methods, statistics and figures are each different and have their own standard.

He added: "Suppose the sanctions are lifted tomorrow and investors want to invest in the country's mines, we have to answer the question, what conditions have we provided ?!"

The head of the Tehran Mining Engineering Organization, pointing out that mining companies each act according to their tastes and do not consider a specific roadmap and quality, said: "There is so much taste in submitting mining reports that the issue varies from province to province." While there are certain quality and standards for mining in the world; For example, Australia, Canada, Russia and Chile each report in accordance with international standards.

"If we want to correct this process, we need a lot of time, which may take several years," Taybi concluded. He stressed: "Today we must start and expand our studies to achieve a common language with the world in mining technical issues."

The need to update information

Keyvan Jafari Tehrani, International Master of Steel and Iron Ore Industry, referring to the quality of studies in the country's mining sector, said: "Due to sanctions, we have moved away from international standards and as a result we have not been able to conduct preliminary, definitive and qualitative feasibility studies in the mining sector." The most important issue is to update the information, which has not been operational despite the economic problems and distance from the information of the world.

"Although companies often have a taste in providing statistics and information, private companies often provide information, but the provision of information by the private sector has greatly helped the mining sector," said the international steel and iron ore industry expert. Of course, the public sector has also prepared and adjusted good information and statistics; Although sometimes it is not available to everyone.

Correction is time consuming

Jafari Tehrani, referring to the time-consuming process of reforming this process, said: "If the sanctions are lifted, the entry of foreign investors will take about 2 years, because companies and research and development institutes that perform auditing work must hire experienced people to report by Others are prepared, reviewed and proceed according to the quality of the world.

He continued: "Given that these institutions are not currently entering the country due to sanctions, we should try to keep our information up to date as much as possible and work to develop the mining sector."

Concluding remarks

Attention to quality in mining in various fields of study, exploration, machinery, etc. is one of the things that experts agree on. If we are looking for economic development and promotion of the mining sector, we must also pay attention to the quality of mining.
